What you'll do

• Greet customers and obtain vehicle information
• advise customers about routine maintenance
• help identify mechanical problems through customer questions, visual inspection, or road tests
• discuss inspection results and recommend corrective procedures
• prepare repair orders and written estimates
• explain work and charges
• schedule appointments
• obtain authorization for additional repairs
• notify technicians of incoming work and check repair progress
• review and close repair orders
• maintain service forms and pricing guides
• support quality control and customer satisfaction.
