The Furnace Tender role is an onsite, full-time position in Le Sueur, MN, with a first-shift schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. Compensation is $26–$28 per hour. The role supports production of quality metal products at Le Sueur Inc. The furnace tender operates and monitors industrial furnaces to process materials to specification. By controlling temperatures, handling molten metal, inspecting output, and maintaining equipment and records, the role contributes to safe, efficient production and product quality.

What you'll do

• Operate and control furnaces for heating, melting, and alloying
• monitor gauges and adjust fuel, airflow, or electrical settings
• load materials, remelt scrap, and transfer molten metal
• regulate temperatures and remove impurities
• perform routine maintenance and cleaning
• inspect products and report malfunctions
• maintain production logs
• follow safety procedures and use required PPE
• operate a forklift as needed
• support production targets and overtime as required.
