The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Waite Park, MN. Pay is $17.73–$19.61 per hour. The position supports WACOSA’s ThriftWorks! program and its mission to help people with disabilities live and work in their community. The caregiver provides hands-on daily living support and helps clients build skills, independence, social interaction, and work opportunities. The role uses person-centered support and training activities to help clients pursue meaningful community participation.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily living activities, including bathroom assistance, meal preparation, and medication administration
• develop clients’ skills for community living and work
• conduct varied curriculum activities and functional training
• collect and enter required data
• mentor clients and support independence, social interaction, decision-making, productivity, and self-advocacy
• apply person-centered principles.

Why this role

Variable schedule up to 40 hours per week, with shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM Monday–Friday and scheduled Saturdays between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Saturday hours receive a $2.25-per-hour differential. High school diploma or equivalent required.
