What you'll do

• Analyze body fluids and blood cells
• conduct blood group, typing, and compatibility tests to prepare blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions
• calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• manage laboratory supplies
• prepare reports of findings
• follow QA/QI and infection-control standards
• and identify problems and implement solutions where appropriate.
