mRNA Process Development Scientist

The mRNA Process Development Scientist role is onsite in Boston, MA. Compensation is $32–$41 per hour, based on education and related experience. The scientist joins Eurofins Professional Scientific Services’ mRNA process development team, contributing to early and operational technology development. The role produces and analyzes RNA constructs and performs purification and analytical experiments to advance process development. It also prepares reagents, documents work, maintains equipment, and shares data summaries so the team and stakeholders can use reliable experimental results.

What you'll do

• Perform in vitro transcription and purification experiments, including chromatography and tangential flow filtration
• conduct analytical methods including capillary gel electrophoresis, Akta chromatography, HPLC, and ELISA
• process data and provide summaries
• prepare buffers, reagents, and stock solutions following recipes and SOPs
• maintain lab notebooks and equipment, order materials, support troubleshooting, and uphold lab safety.

Why this role

Requires a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least one year of laboratory experience or a relevant master’s degree with at least six months of experience, plus experience with RNA methods and listed analytical techniques. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
