The Maintenance Technician 1 - 1st Shift role is onsite in Detroit Lakes, MN. Compensation is $26–$31 per hour. The technician works in a Cornerstone Building Brands plant, a manufacturer of exterior building products. The technician maintains plant equipment and forklifts, schedules routine maintenance, and troubleshoots breakdowns to support safe, reliable operations. The role also maintains records and parts inventory and coordinates with operators, managers, vendors, and technical support.

What you'll do

• Schedule and perform routine equipment and forklift maintenance
• maintain asset lists and maintenance records
• manage repair-parts, tools, and lubricant inventory
• communicate critical breakdowns and work-order completions
• troubleshoot equipment with operators
• plan larger maintenance projects and coordinate outside support
• maintain vendor relationships
• assist with plant construction projects
• use welding skills
• operate machinery when needed
• follow lockout/tagout procedures.
