The Crisis Peer Counselor, Mobile Crisis Outreach Team role is onsite in Friday Harbor, WA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Compensation is $21.89–$36.11 per hour. Compass Health’s Mobile Crisis Outreach Team serves San Juan, Orcas, and Lopez Islands and responds to behavioral health crises in community settings. The counselor draws on lived experience to provide peer support, promote recovery and self-advocacy, and connect clients with treatment and community resources. The role works with clients and care teams on person-centered recovery goals and supports monitoring, documentation, and treatment goal setting.

Why this role

Requires lived experience with a behavioral health or substance use diagnosis and current Washington Certified Peer Support Specialist or CPSS-T certification. An Agency Affiliated Counselor status must be obtained upon hire if not already licensed.
