Medication Aide

Job overview

The Medication Aide role is onsite in Bellingham, WA. Pay is $19–$20 per hour. Orchard Park provides in-house training for the state-mandated 70-hour Home Care Aide course and assistance with the skills test. The aide supports resident safety by passing medications and providing treatments according to physician orders and facility policy. The role also documents resident care, reports medication refill needs, maintains medication areas, and monitors compliance with resident rights and applicable safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Pass medications and provide treatments according to physician orders and facility policy
• give shift reports
• document in resident records
• notify the charge nurse about medication refills
• maintain an organized medication cart and room
• monitor compliance with resident rights and state and federal requirements. May assist with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, psychosocial activities, resident property records, ice service, or Certified Nurse Aide duties as needed.
