Operations Fraud Supervisor

The Operations Fraud Supervisor role is onsite in Preston, MD. Compensation is $30–$45 per hour for applicants located in Maryland. The supervisor reports to the Deposit Operations Manager at Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust. The supervisor leads Fraud Analysts and oversees investigations and loss-mitigation actions across payment and deposit channels. The role supports timely, consistent, well-documented, and compliant fraud response while improving controls and reducing customer impact.

What you'll do

• Supervise Fraud Analysts, assign work, monitor performance, coach, and support hiring and disciplinary processes
• manage alert queues, staffing, case assignments, and escalations
• review complex or high-risk investigations
• oversee transaction actions involving ACH, wires, Zelle, online banking, and checks
• conduct quality reviews
• monitor fraud trends and losses
• maintain procedures and controls
• coordinate with internal partners
• lead responses to significant fraud events
• support audits and regulatory examinations.
