Transportation Engineer

The Transportation Engineer role is onsite in Springfield, IL. Compensation is $90,000–$125,000 per year. Veenstra & Kimm’s team works with state and local governments on transportation projects. What you'll do

• Design complex transportation infrastructure projects, focusing on roadway and highway elements
• prepare and review project reports
• coordinate and schedule work with the Survey Department
• complete work on schedule and within budgets
• prepare transportation project plans and specifications
• conduct periodic onsite construction observation.

Why this role

Requires 10+ years of transportation engineering experience, a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and an Illinois PE. PTOE is desired but not required. PowerGEOPAK and/or OpenRoads Designer experience is preferred; IDOT experience is preferred and KDOT experience is acceptable.
