The assistant supports emergency and inpatient veterinary care by performing nursing tasks, monitoring patients, assisting with diagnostics and treatments, and working alongside licensed veterinary technicians and veterinarians.

What you'll do

• Provide compassionate care to patients and customers
• perform basic to intermediate nursing care, monitoring, and treatments
• triage incoming patients
• administer medications and support fluid and transfusion therapy
• participate in outpatient and inpatient care and patient rounds
• collect samples and perform diagnostic tests and imaging
• assist with sedation and surgical anesthesia under LVT or DVM supervision
• maintain catheters, oxygen equipment, and related care
• complete CPR training as a RECOVER Certified Rescuer.
