This position supports the Johnson Controls Federal Systems team in the design and manufacture of HVAC and refrigeration equipment for Navy vessels. This role exists to ensure the high-quality standards of Navy equipment through precise measurement, calibration, and non-destructive testing. The technician performs setups and programming of coordinate measuring machines, audits precision gauges, and guides cross-functional teams in continuous improvement efforts.

What you'll do

• Perform non-destructive examinations including dye penetrant and magnetic particle tests.
• Set up, program, and operate coordinate measuring machines.
• Calibrate and certify precision gauges and measuring devices.
• Investigate tooling and production operations.
• Audit startup procedures and verify machining operations.
• Develop continuous improvement efforts and implement statistical process control.
