The Production Operator — Water Treatment Equipment role is onsite in Rockford, IL, with base pay of $20.00–$24.00 per hour plus a 10% second-shift differential, for stated total pay of $22.00–$26.40 per hour. Xylem works on water challenges and supports customers and communities with mobile water treatment equipment. The operator performs hands-on production and equipment tasks that help regenerate water-treatment equipment and keep processes running safely and reliably. The work includes equipment checks, material handling, testing support, documentation, and coordination with teammates to meet quality and customer needs.

What you'll do

• Operate valves, hoses, tanks, and other water-treatment equipment
• perform carbon reactivation and regeneration tasks, including product bagging, spent carbon handling, and tank changeovers
• check equipment and troubleshoot minor issues
• support product testing, pH probe calibration, wastewater treatment, and filter press operations
• load and unload deliveries
• enter documentation and follow written procedures
• work with the team to meet quality standards and customer needs.
