Surgery Scheduling Associate

What you'll do

• Schedule patients for surgery and complete facility paperwork. Verify insurance coverage and determine whether referrals or authorizations are needed, then begin the necessary processes. Answer and transfer calls, receive referrals and messages, fax medication lists and other documents, and file, photocopy, and scan records. Assess operating room, staff, equipment, and instrument availability before scheduling cases. Prepare daily reports and monthly statistical reports
• schedule daily operating room use, call sheets, and pre-admission visits. Coordinate accurate and timely information for patient billing.
