Medication Aide

What you'll do

• Prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and company protocols
• ensure proper medication storage, handling, and disposal
• monitor for adverse reactions and report concerns
• observe and record changes in residents’ health and vital signs as needed
• assist with basic healthcare tasks under licensed staff supervision
• encourage participation in wellness programs and activities
• follow infection control procedures
• maintain secure medication carts and records
• and assist during emergencies. A high school diploma or GED and active state Medication Aide certification are required
• training-program completion and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred.
