HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is a 392-bed acute care facility and designated Level II Trauma Center. This role involves taking radiographs (x-rays) to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment, performing procedures accurately with care, compassion, and respect, and documenting all pertinent clinical information.

What you'll do

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Assure only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
