Commissioning Field Engineer II

Job overview

The Commissioning Field Engineer II role is onsite in New York, NY, with annual pay of $75,000–$90,000 based on experience. FST Technical Services’ commissioning division supports quality assurance across building design, construction, and post-acceptance phases. Reporting to a team leader and project engineers, the field engineer carries out field and office assignments to verify that building systems and equipment are designed, installed, and functionally tested to meet client requirements and design intent.

• Conduct site inspections and prepare reports
• test equipment
• review submittals, documents, and specifications
• create and execute commissioning checklists
• collect and tabulate field data
• maintain and report on testing equipment
• assist with performance testing
• manage time and expenses
• complete special projects as required.
