The Language Arts Academic Tutor role is onsite in Mililani Town, HI, and reports to the Site Coordinator. Pay is $20.75–$26.75 per hour. The tutor supports students’ academic growth and youth development through instruction, mentoring, and enrichment activities. The role develops lessons and engaging activities to promote academic success, positive learning habits, and student confidence. It also helps create an inclusive learning environment, communicates with families and program partners, and may mentor junior staff or contribute ideas for program improvements.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement lesson plans and educational activities
• engage students in academic enrichment
• support quality improvement
• communicate with participants, parents, coworkers, and program contacts
• assist with junior staff supervision and guidance
• develop youth programs and activities
• contribute ideas and feedback
• assist with events
• facilitate inclusive youth programming.
