The Outreach Worker – Community Violence Intervention role is onsite in Chicago, IL, serving Riverdale, Roseland, and West Pullman. Pay is $40,000–$45,000 per year. INSIPLE Coalition is a Chicago-based nonprofit focused on preventing violence, strengthening communities, and creating pathways to opportunity. The worker builds trusted neighborhood relationships, mediates conflicts, and connects participants with support and programs. The role contributes to violence prevention and community safety through outreach, crisis response, mentoring, and accurate documentation.

What you'll do

• Maintain a daily presence in assigned areas and engage residents
• build relationships with people at high risk of violence
• mediate conflicts and work to prevent retaliation
• respond with the team to shootings and critical incidents
• mentor participants and refer them to case management
• connect participants to workforce development, reentry, and youth programs
• document contacts, mediations, and incidents
• support community events and peace walks
• participate in briefings, debriefs, and violence prevention training.
