What you'll do

• Supervise shaft personnel and hoist operators
• provide visible safety leadership
• conduct inspections and observations
• ensure compliance with safety procedures and MSHA requirements
• lead safety talks and meetings
• document safety observations and corrective actions
• coordinate shaft activities with mining crews, surface operations, and maintenance
• organize crew assignments and priorities
• communicate equipment concerns
• support repairs and preventive maintenance
• coach and train employees
• maintain timekeeping, attendance, scheduling, and vacation records.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED required. Leadership experience in an industrial, mining, or comparable operational environment and knowledge of MSHA hoist rules are required; underground mining and shaft supervision experience are preferred.
