Resident Services Specialist

Job overview

The Resident Services Specialist role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN, with compensation of $21–$22.50 per hour. The schedule is daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., 12–18 hours per week. Agate Housing and Services works to end homelessness and relieve hunger through action and advocacy. The specialist serves as a welcoming first point of contact while helping maintain a safe, calm reception area and supporting residents with information, referrals, and basic service navigation. The role contributes to housing stability through trauma-informed, harm-reduction-oriented support, clear communication, and coordination with shelter staff and other responders.

What you'll do

• Welcome residents, guests, staff, and visitors
• answer incoming calls
• conduct building and grounds walk-throughs
• monitor security cameras and document incidents
• verify facility rosters
• provide information, referrals, and paperwork assistance
• coordinate with property management and security
• support lockouts
• maintain the lobby
• troubleshoot office equipment
• use de-escalation and crisis-response skills
• communicate with teams and first responders.
