Geology Intern

The Geology Intern role is an onsite position based in Southlake, TX. Compensation is not specified for this internship, which supports the Service & Support department at Heidelberg Materials. This role exists to provide hands-on training and mentorship to students pursuing a degree in Geology or Engineering Geology. The intern will contribute to drilling programs, resource calculations, and geological fieldwork while gaining professional experience in the mining industry.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with CCA team and operations to develop drilling programs and manage drill projects including planning, cost estimation, supervision, and reporting.
• Assist with reserve and resource calculations, pit shell evaluations, and volume estimations for mining operations.
• Create technical maps, drawings, and documentation using ArcGIS and other tools for mine planning and reporting.
• Managing drill campaigns and data through various stages of project development.
• Participate in geological fieldwork, data collection, and geological assessments.
• Support health and safety initiatives across field and office activities.
