Telecommunications Technician II — Tower Construction

The Telecommunications Technician II — Tower Construction role is onsite in Sacramento, CA, with travel required 50% of the time. Pay is $25–$35 per hour. The technician supports telecommunications tower construction, repair, and maintenance projects. As the point leader on the tower, the technician guides team members through complex installation and testing work while maintaining technical and safety standards. The role contributes to reliable telecom systems and develops less experienced technicians through mentorship and training.

What you'll do

• Lead tower construction and maintenance, including tower assembly, antenna installation, and system optimization. Oversee grounding, coax and fiber handling, hoist operations, and connector installation
• conduct sweep, PIM, and fiber testing
• maintain OSHA and company safety protocols
• mentor technicians
• operate rigging equipment
• interpret construction drawings and RFDS
• and coordinate with the foreman and project stakeholders.

Why this role
