Veterinary Emergency Group provides emergency veterinary care at hospitals open 24/7, 365 days a year. The externship gives enrolled veterinary technology or nursing students mentored exposure to emergency medicine. Students shadow and assist with triage, outpatient visits, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care while practicing skills required by their school’s proficiency checklist.
