What you'll do

• Follow departmental procedures, state regulations, and administrative policies
• follow standardized recipes and monitor food production and waste
• portion meals according to menus and diet requirements
• review menus for special diets
• monitor tray lines for portion control, restrictions, and supplements
• prepare food for serving hours
• operate kitchen equipment
• monitor, store, and rotate perishable foods
• maintain food and freezer storage
• use proper food handling techniques and gloves as appropriate
• assist with cleaning, kitchen maintenance, or food delivery.
