Mortgage Loan Assistant

Job overview

The Mortgage Loan Assistant role is onsite in Williston, VT, supporting members during service hours of 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; overtime may be included. Pay is $24.75 per hour. The role supports EastRise Federal Credit Union’s mortgage loan originators and members throughout the mortgage process. The assistant coordinates communications, applications, documents, and pipeline updates so borrowers and mortgage staff can move loan files forward accurately. The role contributes to timely service, organized loan processing, and informed member support from application through closing.

What you'll do

• Manage incoming calls, chats, emails, and other communications
• provide backup front-desk coverage and process online applications
• schedule borrower appointments and help borrowers prepare
• manage loan application pipeline and track conditions
• organize member documents and verifications
• communicate with realtors about contingencies, closing dates, and file issues
• manage pre-approval updates and renewals
• maintain proficiency in mortgage and office systems.
