What you'll do

• Review clinical documentation and electronic health records
• perform inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and/or ambulatory coding according to expertise
• apply ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS as appropriate
• identify documentation deficiencies and coding discrepancies
• support quality reviews, audits, and corrections
• code community-care and non-VA services as assigned
• maintain accurate confidential records and meet applicable productivity, quality, and turnaround standards.

Why this role
