Assistant Child Care Teacher

What you'll do

• Assist lead teachers with curriculum activities and encourage children’s participation
• engage children in activities and maintain classroom cleanliness, order, and materials
• communicate informally with parents
• model self-help and hygiene
• support daily transitions
• follow center policies and state regulations
• maintain a professional development plan
• attend monthly staff meetings and help plan at least two festivals per year. Duties also include diaper changing, cleaning, laundry, gardening, hiking, and other scheduled activities.
