What you'll do

• Assist with purchasing raw materials and shop components
• send requests for quotation to approved vendors and compare pricing and lead times
• place purchase orders based on production needs and management guidance
• track and schedule deliveries
• maintain Kanban, min/max, or reorder systems
• help ensure material availability
• coordinate with production and planning teams
• maintain purchasing records, inventory counts, and vendor information
• support ordering-process improvements
• communicate order status with vendors.
