The Orthopedic Technician role is onsite at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. Pay is $23–$26 per hour. AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking clinic support for the orthopedic department at the installation’s medical treatment facility. The technician assists orthopedic providers with procedures and patient preparation, including casting, splinting, bracing, and wound care. The role also supports clinic readiness through vital-sign collection, sterile preparation, supply management, electronic records, and patient coordination.

What you'll do

• Assist physicians and physician assistants with orthopedic procedures, wound care, minor surgeries, and fracture reductions
• apply and remove casts, splints, and braces
• instruct patients on device use and care
• record vital signs and patient history
• prepare rooms and surgical trays
• follow sterile techniques
• clean and restock supplies
• manage EHR information and orders
• assist with patient follow-up and staff onboarding as assigned.
