The Industrial HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic role is onsite for projects in the Charlotte, NC area. Compensation is $32–$38 per hour; per diem may be available to qualified candidates. InServ is an industrial contractor serving life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and food and beverage sectors, with work across the Southeast. The mechanic fabricates, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots sheet metal components for industrial HVAC systems. The role supports safe, efficient project delivery by coordinating with project teams and following project specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Fabricate sheet metal ducts, pipes, fittings, and other components using specialized tools and equipment
• interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• install ductwork, exhaust, ventilation, and HVAC equipment
• inspect, maintain, and repair industrial HVAC systems
• troubleshoot airflow, insulation, ductwork, and equipment issues
• coordinate with project managers, engineers, other trades, and contractors
• follow safety standards
• document work, materials, inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
