Job overview

The Project Manager, Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants role is based in Charlotte, NC, with projects anywhere in North Carolina and a split between project offices and construction sites. Pay is up to $180,000 per year depending on experience. The role is in a self-performing heavy civil contractor’s Civil and Environmental division, which manages water and wastewater treatment plant projects across the Southeast. The project manager owns treatment plant projects from award through closeout, overseeing schedule, budget, procurement, subcontractors, client relationships, safety, and profitability. The role coordinates field teams and project partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.

What you'll do

• Create and manage project schedules and budgets
• prepare monthly billings and manage cash flow
• identify, price, and negotiate change orders
• coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
• review labor and cost reports
• communicate scope to field teams
• expedite procurement and track approvals
• manage submittals, certifications, files, and drawings
• approve invoices and payments
• maintain owner and engineer relationships
• monitor job-site safety
• develop assistant project managers and project engineers.
