Dance Activity Instructor

The Dance Activity Instructor role is onsite at the program location on Vermont Street in Brooklyn, New York. The posting lists pay of $19 to $25 per hour and up to six hours per week. The instructor plans and leads age- and skill-appropriate dance activities that support young people’s artistic, educational and leadership development. The role creates structured, engaging group activities that encourage teamwork, skill-building, belonging and student success.

What you'll do

• Develop age- and skill-appropriate curriculum, lesson plans, activities and projects for supervisor review
• facilitate scaffolded activities based on student interests
• support participants’ artistic, educational and leadership potential
• promote teamwork, mastery and growth
• participate in community-hour activities and staff meetings
• engage group conversations and support students’ academic success.
