The Lead Rover Navigation and Perception Engineer role is onsite in Hawthorne, CA. Pay is $142,000–$235,000 per year. Astrolab designs and builds rovers, power systems, and data networks for sustained lunar operations and planetary surface exploration.

What you'll do

• Lead engineers designing, characterizing, testing, verifying, and validating rover localization and perception systems
• develop the CLV-1 lunar rover solution from early design through flight operations
• work with software engineers on navigation, perception, and obstacle-avoidance flight software
• plan and execute tests with real sensors and flight computers in simulated lunar conditions
• ensure systems meet performance and NASA human-rated spacecraft requirements. Some travel may be required.
