The Lead Toddler Teacher role is onsite in South Londonderry, VT. Pay is $20–$23 per hour. The position leads the toddler community at West River Montessori School during an important period of early development. The teacher prepares a Montessori environment that supports independence, language acquisition, coordination, and child-led learning. The role observes each child’s development, adapts lessons and materials, and partners with families to support learning and developmental milestones at home.

What you'll do

• Prepare and maintain an orderly Montessori classroom
• create and rotate materials based on children’s developmental needs and interests
• observe development and tailor lessons
• guide independence, self-regulation, practical life skills, toilet learning, and routines
• nurture language acquisition and coordination
• lead parent-teacher conferences and family education
• comply with childcare licensing regulations and supervise health, safety, and emergency drills.

Why this role

Preferred applicants have an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or 21 college credit hours and at least one year of experience with children. Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, Vermont childcare background clearance, and state orientation training are required.
