Class A CDL Driver / Excavation Equipment Operator

The Class A CDL Driver / Excavation Equipment Operator role is onsite in Lake Bluff, IL. Starting pay is $26–$30+ per hour, depending on experience and skill. This is a full-time seasonal position through late fall or early winter, weather permitting. Krügel Cobbles installs hardscape projects such as patios, driveways, and walkways. The role combines commercial driving, equipment operation, and physical field labor to prepare project sites. The driver transports equipment and materials, operates excavation machinery, and works with the crew to complete site preparation safely and efficiently.

What you'll do

• Drive six-wheeler dump trucks and tow equipment trailers
• transport machinery, aggregates, materials, and excavated spoils
• load, unload, and secure equipment
• operate Dingos, skid steers, and mini excavators for excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and material handling
• perform hand excavation and site cleanup
• follow site safety instructions and marked utility locations
• complete daily vehicle inspections, grease equipment, check fluids, and report concerns
• work with the excavation foreman and crew.

Why this role
