Job overview

The Concrete Finisher role is onsite in Elkridge, MD, with pay of $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience. Stuart Contractors is a civil site construction company working across Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania; the current project need is in Elkridge, with possible travel to future project locations. The finisher places and finishes concrete for site projects, prepares and removes forms, operates finishing tools and equipment, applies curing treatments, assists with layout, and checks finished work against quality standards.

What you'll do

• Place and finish concrete for sidewalks, curbs, slabs, pads, and other site concrete
• prepare, install, and remove forms
• screed, float, trowel, edge, and finish concrete
• operate tools and finishing equipment
• apply curing materials and sealers
• read grade stakes and assist with layout
• inspect work
• maintain a safe, organized work area
• coordinate with foremen and crew.
