Tax Accountant

Job overview

Compensation is $150 per hour. The Tax Accountant role is onsite in Austin, TX; The accountant supports client tax preparation and related services at The Adkins Group. The role exists to deliver accurate, timely tax work and support client service through tax research, projections, and communication. It also contributes to firm standards and process improvement while helping train new tax professionals.

What you'll do

• Review and/or prepare tax returns and filings
• ensure client tax work is timely and high quality
• maintain tax procedures and firm standards
• conduct tax research
• assist with special projects and client communications
• train new tax professionals
• review and deliver tax projections
• support process improvement
• keep daily time records
• provide weekly updates to the Director of Client Services
• work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
