The purpose of this role is to perform diagnostic procedures utilizing a background in anatomy, physiology, physics and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the physician.

What you'll do

• The Ultrasound Technologist (sonographer) performs diagnostic procedures utilizing a background in anatomy, physiology, physics and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the physician.
• The sonographer will maintain technical skills needed to perform ultrasound procedures to include abdominal, OB/GYN, venous Doppler, small parts, pediatrics (where applicable) and invasive exams.
• In addition, the sonographer will maintain department supplies and equipment and will participate in the quality control of the ultrasound department.
• Must have and maintain ONE of the following within the timeframes below: A.
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) i.
• RDMS- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ABD or OBGYN) B.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (S) C.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (VS) AND ONE of the following: A.
• RVT- Registered Vascular Technologist or B.
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RVS).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.
