The purpose of this role is to perform diagnostic procedures utilizing a background in anatomy, physiology, physics and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the physician.
What you'll do
- The Ultrasound Technologist (sonographer) performs diagnostic procedures utilizing a background in anatomy, physiology, physics and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the physician.
- The sonographer will maintain technical skills needed to perform ultrasound procedures to include abdominal, OB/GYN, venous Doppler, small parts, pediatrics (where applicable) and invasive exams.
- In addition, the sonographer will maintain department supplies and equipment and will participate in the quality control of the ultrasound department.
- Must have and maintain ONE of the following within the timeframes below: A.
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) i.
- RDMS- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ABD or OBGYN) B.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (S) C.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (VS) AND ONE of the following: A.
- RVT- Registered Vascular Technologist or B.
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RVS).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support.
