Combat Systems Senior Systems Engineer

The Combat Systems Senior Systems Engineer role is onsite with limited remote work in King George, VA. Compensation is not specified. The engineer supports the Adjunct Remote Engagement System (ARES) program for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's Integrated Combat Systems Department, Warfare Architecture and Engineering Division. The engineer provides senior systems-engineering support for development and service programs, including requirements, integration, testing, risk management, and acquisition planning. This work helps integrate complex combat systems with legacy systems and supports development of the ARES system for manned and unmanned naval platforms.

What you'll do

• Develop, review, and assess systems-engineering artifacts
• communicate program status, risks, and schedules
• support integration test plans and procedures
• develop combat-system requirements and use model-based systems engineering techniques
• plan integration of new systems with legacy systems
• lead risk management activities
• revise the Systems Engineering Plan
• provide technical direction on technology development and testing
• support ARES acquisition planning.
