Avionics Technician

Job overview

The Avionics Technician role is on-site in Hollywood, FL. Compensation is $38–$45 per hour. The technician supports Wayman's aircraft training fleet, including Cessna, Diamond, and Piper aircraft, and reports to the Director of Maintenance. The role maintains aircraft avionics systems to support fleet reliability, safety, and training availability. It diagnoses and repairs systems, completes installations and upgrades under applicable FAA requirements, and coordinates maintenance work and records with department personnel.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain avionics systems
• perform installations, modifications, and upgrades in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and manufacturer requirements
• work on glass cockpit, instrumentation, communication, navigation, and ADS-B systems
• support IFR inspections, testing, and documentation as applicable
• evaluate issues and recommend repairs or upgrades
• coordinate maintenance priorities
• manage assigned projects, materials, schedules, and costs
• maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety and regulatory requirements.
