Propane Service Technician

Job overview

The Propane Service Technician role is onsite in Eliot, ME. Pay is $30–$40 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications. Haffner’s provides heating oil, propane, and HVAC services to customers across the region, with safety and customer relationships as stated priorities. The technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs residential and commercial propane systems to support safe, dependable heating service. The role also documents work, coordinates schedules with dispatch, and communicates repair recommendations and solutions to customers.

What you'll do

• Install, maintain, and repair propane tanks, piping, heating equipment, and appliances
• diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical service issues
• perform system testing, calibration, and repairs according to manufacturer recommendations
• document equipment details, test measurements, and service work
• communicate repair recommendations to customers
• maintain vehicle stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment
• coordinate service schedules with dispatch
• inspect, clean, and report mechanical issues with company vehicles
• identify opportunities for additional services, equipment upgrades, and service agreements
• participate in company-provided technical and safety training.
