The attorney represents clients in civil matters, prepares cases and legal documents, advises clients on their rights, and contributes to outreach and community education. The role supports the Individual Safety Unit and its Legal Aid for Survivors of Sexual Assault Project.

What you'll do

• Gather evidence
• conduct civil lawsuits
• draft legal documents
• advise clients about legal rights
• interview clients and witnesses
• represent clients in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies
• interpret laws, rulings, and regulations
• participate in outreach, community education, evening legal clinics, and major litigation
• and potentially supervise legal, clerical, volunteer, or student workers.
