What you'll do

• Review insurance agreements, denial and appeal processes, and fee schedules
• research and resolve denials and improper payments using payer websites, forms, and calls
• complete assigned system tasks
• review monthly reports for payment variances and credit balances
• respond to patient and carrier inquiries
• monitor accounts receivable aging
• prepare refunds
• maintain payer knowledge and communicate carrier changes to staff
• work with provider representatives to resolve issues
• protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and practice policies.
