The Universal Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher works onsite in Vestal, NY. Compensation is $16.25–$19 per hour. Cub Care Children’s Center provides early childhood education and is a Quality Stars NY participating center. The teacher implements culturally and linguistically responsive curriculum and lesson plans that meet children’s developmental needs. The role supports early learning and social skills through classroom teamwork, family communication, and ongoing professional development.

What you'll do

• Implement selected curriculum through detailed, culturally and linguistically responsive lesson plans
• coordinate activities with coworkers and work cooperatively with teaching team members and therapists
• communicate respectfully with families about children’s classroom experiences
• participate in teaching team meetings
• complete at least 15 hours of annual training or coaching in required content areas.

Why this role

Requires a New York State Initial Teaching Certificate for Birth to age 6. Candidates with two years of early childhood education who are completing a bachelor’s degree toward certification, or transferring certification from another state, may be considered. Schedule is 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM.
