Production Jacketline Operator

Job overview

The Production Jacketline Operator position is onsite in Rocky Mount, NC, and pays $18–$22 per hour. The role supports Prysmian Group’s cable production operations. The operator sets up and runs extruder lines that apply jacketing compound to cable and related products. The role contributes to production quality and timely order completion through inspections, documentation, equipment care, and coordination with the supervisor and team.

What you'll do

• Operate and set up multiple extruder lines
• verify print on cable
• use basic computer functions to determine specifications and record material consumption
• complete quality check sheets and reel tags
• prepare daily production reports
• inspect product and report quality or process issues
• follow operating manuals
• clean tooling
• coordinate production runs
• maintain printing equipment and take-up reels
• perform housekeeping and safety duties
• alternate between line operation and take-up work.
