The Part-Time Medical Assistant role is onsite in Albuquerque, NM, with compensation of $18–$21 per hour. Dermatology of New Mexico is an independent physician practice focused on individualized dermatology care across medical, surgical, cosmetic, and aesthetic services. The Medical Assistant supports providers and patients throughout dermatology visits, procedures, follow-up, and clinic operations. The role helps deliver coordinated care by assisting with clinical tasks, patient communication, records, and room and equipment readiness.

What you'll do

• Greet and escort patients
• obtain visit reasons and review medical histories
• document in the electronic medical record during provider visits
• assist with skin biopsies and other dermatologic procedures
• provide patient paperwork and follow-up recommendations
• schedule follow-up visits
• review pre-operative instructions
• assist with medication prior authorizations
• return patient messages
• perform suture removals, wound checks, and dressing changes
• route refill requests and lab results
• coordinate records and referrals
• log and track results
• prepare anesthetic and sterile trays, clean tools, operate the autoclave, and maintain clean, organized work areas.
