Utility Locator Technician

Job overview

The Utility Locator Technician role is onsite in Birmingham, AL, with starting pay of $18.50 per hour. The technician processes locate tickets, interprets maps and blueprints, uses locating equipment to mark underground utilities, and communicates with peers, managers, and homeowners. The work helps protect underground infrastructure and supports safe, accurate utility locating.

What you'll do

• Prioritize safety
• use a laptop to receive, document, and process tickets and email
• read maps and interpret blueprints
• determine locating methods and sequence
• use provided equipment and technology to locate underground utilities
• communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
