The Buyer, Indirect Procurement & Capital Equipment role is full-time and onsite in Detroit, MI. Compensation is not specified. The buyer supports LM Manufacturing’s Finance department and its automotive seat-system manufacturing operations. This role leads competitive sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and financial analysis for indirect spending and capital projects. It partners with plant departments and the Plant Controller to improve purchasing controls, identify savings, and support operational and launch needs; production raw-material sourcing is outside its scope.

What you'll do

• Lead competitive sourcing for indirect goods, services, and capital equipment
• develop RFQs and RFPs
• evaluate suppliers and negotiate commercial terms
• create and maintain SAP purchase orders
• compare capital proposals and support ROI and payback analyses
• manage vendor contracts and supplier performance
• analyze spending, budgets, savings, and procurement KPIs
• partner with departments on purchasing requirements and internal controls.
