This hybrid Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) role is based in Charleston, SC, with an annual base salary range of $103,000–$121,000. The role supports NIWC Atlantic's Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services Division, which provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command IT systems.

What you'll do

• Integrate cybersecurity requirements into system architectures, engineering designs, interface specifications, and technical documentation
• implement and validate security controls under NIST RMF and related standards
• conduct architecture reviews, vulnerability and threat assessments, and risk analysis
• maintain security plans, diagrams, and RMF artifacts
• assess system changes and scan findings
• support testing, validation, accreditation, and continuous monitoring
• advise on secure design and cybersecurity practices.
